09/03/2024 Give it a Go Session

We had another excellent day introducing people to the sport of rowing. We went through some basic boat overviews, safety and then onto technical work on the indoor rowers before getting all the participants out on the water. Everyone did really well, and we look forward to seeing them out on the water soon. A massive thank you to all the help from volunteers, we couldn’t have done it without you.

19/02/2024 ACTIF Sports Awards

In February we picked up the runners up award for community sports club of the year at the Carmarthenshire Actif Sports Awards. We came up against some good competition alongside Ammanford AFC  who took the award for their truly inspiring activities and Carmarthen Triathlon Club. The reason we got into the top 3 nominations is wholly down to the commitment and good sport of all our members, parents, and volunteers. Keep it up!

Welsh Coastal Championships 2023, Mumbles

We had the pleasure of attending the Welsh Coastal Championships. It was hosted by Mumbles Rowing Club and Mumbles Yacht Club, and we were blessed with good weather and excellent rowing conditions.

Caroline and Sterling bringing in a bronze medal in the CW2x category, despite having had a bit of a hard time seeing the buoys from on the water!

Gabe and Harri rowed in to gold medalsafter winning the CO2x U19 category, showing persistence throughout the race.

Finally, Gabe and Sterling in the CMIX2x U19 category put up a good fight and came away with another goldfor the club! Fighting off some strong crews all the way round the course. Incredible since they were a scratch crew on the day!

Incredible performances from all rowers at the amazing and successful event. We’re so proud of our crews and look forward to more events coming up!
